The Torture Chamber  Post [1]

I was thinking about this the other day and having a torture chamber within his house really reveals a very disturbing side to Erik. Thoughts?

I wasn't that surprised at him having a torture chamber in his house. It's clear that he goes above and beyond preventing people from intruding and stumbling across his abode, such as the various trap doors and odd mechanisms that would make it difficult for someone to stumble across him by accident. And as someone so adept at torture from his earlier experiences, it would make sense that as a last measure of protection he would include such a chamber. You could also think of the siren in the lake as a kind of torture.

The last thing he would want is for people to get the word out about his being there, so death traps in his mind were necessary.
