I had planned with a group of friend in Kansas that we would do Jekyll and Hyde. So I'm uber excited as I'm going to be Lucy/directing. Ha! Why me? Anywho, I've been working on the songs for a while and I've gotten the soundtrack from James. Thankies! I hope to only have to play Lucy and direct, but Amy (as Emma Lisa--we decided to make her name a combination of the two) has been having throat issues. :( So who knows. maybe I'll cast someone else because I really!! want to play one else has the guts to wear that dress for Bring on Men O.o haha! But Seriously, harddd to pull off :(

We were angels once, don't you remember? Joys in life, inside our souls; and nobody knows, just you and me. It's our secret.
And your child-like eyes, and your distant smile; I'll never be this happy again! You and I. And no one else. || Maybe he'll come today. Maybe he came already...

This past year was The Leader of the Pack at my school. I got to be Ellie Greenwich's mother and then I was a dancer for the second act. It was really fun; and as usual totally crazy back stage. I walked into the choir room (which is connected to the strings room directly behind the stage) and the upperclassman guys are having a "pants party" was insane. The show went very well though. We have amazing talent at out school. :) I can't wait to see what we'll be doing this year.

well here goes:
I was in Brigadoon
(Just one of the townspeople)

A Church production of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat

IN 5th or 6h grade I played Nancy in a condensed version of Oliver

My brother:
Camelot (scenery and misc)
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers(suitor)
Joseph and the Tehnicolor Dreamcoat (guard)
Those last two were both Church productions
3rd Watchman in Romeo and Juliet(there is only one but everyone got a part)
Ezekiel Cheever in The Crucible

There is minor stuff I did real young like a non musical Christmas carol where I played one of a pair of girls in The Cratchett household and other minor stuff I don't remember the name of

In order:

Seussical (awful show, I know. It was theatre camp, I was 10.)
Charlie & the Chocolate Factory
Alice in Wonderland
Schoolhouse Rock
Annie (my first role with lines)

The last show I did was just a compilation of numbers from musicals my school had done in the past. However, it was the most fun I had doing a show.

I'm under your spell...

You guys are sooooooo lucky with a lot of you being in operas. I'm trying out for my first light opera next month. I'm trying out for the opera, 'HMS Pinifore.
Let's just say that I've tried out for more shows than been in shows.
Shows I've tried out for....
The Miracle Worker, tried out for the roll of Hellen's teacher.
S T, tried out for the chorus
The Sound of Music
Les Miserables
Man of La Mancha

The last two I got cast, but only for the chorus. In Les Miserables, wich was my very first musical, I was the innkeepers wife, one of the women in the song of Turning, one of the beggers, and a worker where Fantine works.
For Man of La Moncha, I was once again in the chorus, but as MOLM has really no chorus parts as far as lines, and singing goes, there wasn't really much to do but react. The chorus members didn't leave the stage. I had only two spoken lines in the whole show, as did a couple of the other chorus members.
I'll keep you all posted of if I get cast for the HMS Pinifore.

Beneath the opera house, I know he's there.
He's with me on the stage, he's everywhere.
And when my song begins, I always find, the phantom of the opera is there, inside my mind.
"Christine Daaé! Where is your red scarf?"
You couldn't have lost it. After all the trouble I caused! I was just 14 and soked to the skin!"
"Because you had run into the sea to fech my scarf! Oh Raoul, so it is you!"
Roses, the color of blood filled her lap. In her hands she held a mask. She knew that her home was the house on the lake. Her angel of music would always be there singing songs in her head.
Are you so sure that a small jar would contain me, madame?
Three long years I've nelt in silence
Held your memory near me.
Three long years of murmured sorrow
Willing you to hear me...
“Passing bells and sculpted angels, cold and monumental...”
