Why isn't anyone posting?

I've recently rejoined the forum and practically every time I go on, there are people sitting out there who are actively in the forum. Yet the forum is basically dead. I've read some new topics but in most cases there are no responses. I've tried some of my own and had pretty much the same results. Now I understand that my style of responding is probably not to everyone's taste, but usually a few people chime in. It's curious to me that people sign in and then just sit out there. Do any of you have suggestions on livening up the forum? I loved the discussions over at poto.com and would like to see something like that here. Or, better yet, perhaps even new discussions. I know a couple of people from poto.com and would like to invite them over but I don't see the point if there's no participation.

I'm here but I see the same problem. I come and pop my head in and NOTHING. I've been hoping to see some new replies for quite some time now and yet...
I AM HERE.

Same here! I always look around for some topics I could post on, but I've posted on all topings that I have ideas for. And noone answers my posts :/

"I'm mostly in the R.P part of the forum though I do look around. I post on threads I SEE as new and that I know something about. Sadly it seems people pop in and pop off again. Even though I'm named WITCH I can't cast a spell to make them post (hmm wonders what that would look like)

How I long for the good old days when I couldn't even blink before something new popped out everywhere.

Still, if a few of us keep posting, keep talking ect hopefully it will lure in people to post.

I hope so. I have never done a role play. Maybe the three of us could do one?

Sure. You do need to make up a character though. Get some ideas from the R.P part of the forum. If you need help just ask me.

Flattering Child 11-17-2014 11:51 AM

I have actually made up a character for the rpgs, but noone's interested :/

I'll have a look. Been so long I can hardly remember were my own got up to.

I went looking but didn't find a lot. There were role plays on areas of the opera, but some of them were just a few posts. There was one role play where the initial poster set out the characters, but that one wasn't too long either. The last one I saw looked like people just made up their own character and added their character to the role play. I'm not sure if I was correct there but it was also a few posts. I'm not sure I've got the basics on this, so if you both could provide some help, I would appreciate it.

I belonged to a forum long ago where people would start a story and others would take it from there. You just never knew where it was going to go, but it was fun. I assume role plays are just as much fun once one gets going.

It looks like role plays may also have to be approved by the moderators? I may not be correct on this.
